Perform Micromedex Lookup and Manage Substances #
This tutorial demonstrates how to perform a Micromedex lookup search in toxiCALL5. You will learn to look up multiple substances simultaneously and transfer information to your notes.
1. Begin Tutorial #
This tutorial introduces the process of performing a Micromedex lookup search in toxiCALL 5.
2. Explain Lookup Capabilities #
For this guide, we will review the new capabilities of performing a Micromedex lookup search in toxiCALL 5. This will allow us to look up multiple substances at one time and even copy information over to our notes. For this demonstration, we’ll start with a blank case and just come down and enter the verbatim if.
3. Select Product In Lookup #
My lookup source is already entered on the right side. I can just press the Enter key. In my lookup window, I’ll find my specific product, then choose select product.
4. Click Select Product #
Click the Select Product button to confirm your product choice in the lookup window.
5. View Selected Product #
You can see on the right side the selected product is shown.
6. Add Second Product #
A new feature in toxiCALL 5 is we can now add a second product. Look for a second product. Then we’ll select that product.
7. Click Select Product Again #
Click the Select Product button to add the second product to your lookup list.
8. Review Multiple Products #
Notice now we have two and can add additional products on the right side. Once we’ve selected all the products we want, we choose accept.
9. Click Accept #
Click the Accept button to finalize your selection of products for the lookup.
10. Import Products To Toxicall #
Notice that both products are now brought into Toxicall. We can also look at these products. If you’re used to keeping that browser window open, we’ll select this new feature which will show product information. Now
11. Click View #
Click the View button to see detailed product information within Toxicall.
12. View Product Information #
I can see the information that we saw in Micromedex for all of the products in this case.
13. Click Close #
Click the Close button to exit the product information view.
14. Add New Substance Lookup #
One additional feature I’ll show is adding a new substance. We’ll perform our lookup and find something with a little more information. So let’s choose this product now.
15. Highlight Active Ingredients #
I can come down to the active ingredients and highlight this information. Right click on the highlighted information and choose notes.
16. Push Data To Notes #
Notice we also have additional items we can push data back into Toxicall. For this example, I’ll use notes. Choose accept.
17. Click Accept #
Click the Accept button to confirm adding the highlighted information to your notes.
18. View New Note Entry #
And now you notice we have a new note entry with the information we brought in from Micromedex.
