If your servers are being upgraded to remote TLS 1.0, we have found that some clients needed to make a change to the SQL connection provider when switching from TLS 1.0 to TLS 1.2. This is done manually in the SQL Connection string for toxiCALL®.
If you find that you are getting an SSL error when connecting to one of the databases, you should adjust the provider information with the details below:
Old: Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;
New: Provider=SQLNCLI11;
Here are the areas to check when updating the provider information:
- The toxicall.ini file, typically located in:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\CAS\Toxicall
- Manually change the Archive location for all archive databases:
- Close all case windows and the search window
- Select ToolsàSystem TablesàUser System Tables
- Select Database Configuration then select View
- Locate each of your archive databases and manually make the change. Do not use the 3-dot lookup as it will restore the previous connection provider.
