Setup toxiCALL® Testing Environment

1 min read

While preparing for a move to toxiCALL® 5, it will be helpful to have a testing environment where we can perform setup, migration, and usability testing before going into production. Our support team will walk you through this process. This guide will give you an overview of what is required and point to additional resources that may be helpful.

Prerequisits #

Before installing toxiCALL®, we need several items in place, which may require different technical team members from your institution.

IT Support Staff #

  • SQL Database Administrator (DBA)
  • IT Support with proper administrator rights to install software

Hardware #

The hardware requirements are very similar to those of toxiCALL® 4. The testing environment will focus on a SQL Server and one or more workstations.

  • SQL Server 2019 or later
    • Restored Backup of your current toxiCALL® 4 Production Database. These are typically the ToxiNet and ToxiNetUser databases.
    • The toxiCALL® 5 database can be created by the SQL DBA or the application if the SQL login account has the appropriate rights.
    • Note that both the toxiCALL® 4 and toxiCALL® 5 databases will be on the same server for the migration.
  • Windows 10 or later workstation(s)
    • This is where we will install toxiCALL® 5.

Software #

toxiCALL® 5 will consist of the desktop and migration applications for the initial testing.
